Treatments

Every treatment starts with a thorough assessment and ends with a plan you can follow on your own, so you take an active part in your recovery.

Manual therapy

Manual therapy is one of our core services. Together we work on your movement potential and on a healthier, fuller way of life. Your therapist carries out a comprehensive assessment, including posture and biomechanics, to find the cause of your problem. When you are ready for discharge you receive a personal home exercise programme so you stay healthy.

  • Pain relief
  • Rehabilitation after surgery
  • Muscle strengthening
  • Care for seniors

Work injuries

If an injury at work is holding you back, our work injury programme takes an active yet careful approach to getting you back to work. We take a team approach and will consult with your employer and case manager if necessary, and we help you return to all normal functional activities.

  • Workplace-related complaints
  • Return-to-work planning
  • Contact with employer if needed
  • Personal exercise programme

Sport injuries

We focus our rehabilitation on the performance needs of athletes as well as on preventing sport-related injuries. Your first appointment includes questions about your sport and possibly a few movements to demonstrate. Your diagnosis and treatment plan are then discussed together. We assess, treat and rehabilitate musculoskeletal and soft tissue injuries.

  • Soft tissue injuries
  • Rehabilitation and return to sport
  • Injury prevention
  • Personalised care

Rehabilitation after surgery

Getting to a practice is often difficult right after surgery. We start in your home, match the build-up to your doctor's advice and work step by step on strength, mobility and independence. As a nurse too, Mellany keeps an eye on your whole recovery, not only on the operated area.

  • Build-up following your doctor's advice
  • Mobility and strength
  • Getting back to daily tasks
  • Exercise plan between visits

Care for older adults

We help older adults keep moving and keep doing their daily activities with confidence. Because we come to you, we practise exactly where it matters: getting up from your chair, the stairs, the way through the house. Family and carers are welcome to watch and join in.

  • Strength and balance
  • Moving safely at home
  • Pain relief
  • Guidance for family or carers

How your recovery works

  1. 1

    You get in touch

Send a message or call. Tell us briefly what is going on.

  2. 2

    Assessment at home

We visit you, listen carefully and assess your complaint. A session usually takes 45 to 60 minutes.

  3. 3

    Setting goals together

What do you want to be able to do again? Based on that, we make a clear plan together.

  4. 4

    Treating and adjusting

You receive hands-on treatment and exercises. Along the way we check your progress and adjust the plan if needed.

  5. 5

    Finishing and carrying on

At the end we review the result together and you get a personal exercise programme for home.
